China Visa Information

If you need a visa to enter China, please email Prof. Furong Xu to recive an official CUSTIPEN invitation letter. A China visa can be obtained by applying in person at the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC or one of the  five Consulates-General in the following U.S. cities: New York, NY; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX. You can also apply your China visa using a visa service company, such as uschinavisa , or VisaRite, or a  travel ageny without having to go to the Chinese Embassy or  Consulate General.

The Travel Reimbursement Information

Please email to Bao-An Li a single zip file containing: 

(i) the Travel Reimbursement information sheet (download) ;
(ii) an expense report listing all costs by day;
(iii) a PDF receipt of airline tickets and  scanned images of other receipts. Hotel receipts should show zero balance and list taxes separately;
(iv) a copy of your approved Foreign Travel Authorization by your home institution.
(v) a one-page exit report describing your work under CUSTIPEN.

The  Guest House at Peking University

Please make your lodging reservation at Peking University by emailing the visitor information form (download) to Prof. Furong Xu.  
The Guest House  (Zhongguanxinyuan Global Village, PKU), is very close to the Accelerator Building. The No.9 Building of Guest House is  assigned for visitor's accommodation.

By Taxi    

You can get a taxi right outside the arrival terminals. From the airport to Peking University is about 30 km. The fare should be about 20USD (less than 150 Yuan). If you   take the Taxi, you may show the following tag to the taxi driver about how to get to the guest house.

Please do ask for the invoice (taxi receipt). （请给我正式发票）Enclosed is the sample of the invoice, which is printed from the Taxi Counting Meter.

The  map below shows the directions on how to get to  the No.9 Building of the Guest House. The blue route and the orange route are the two choices to reach No.9 Building.

 

By Subway (operate from 6 AM to 10 PM)
 
From Terminal 3 walk to Airport Express line (towards Dongzimen)---> transfer to Line-10 at Sanyuanqiao station (towards Xiju) ----> transfer to Line-4 at Haidianhuangzhuang station (towards Anheqiao North)--->Exit at East Gate of Peking University. Walk from Exit-B to the Accelerator Building or from Exit-C to the Guest House refer to the above map.

By Shuttle Bus (operate from 7 AM to 12 PM)  

 

Right at the exit of airport Terminals one can follow the english sign for Shuttle Bus, Shuttle Bus is at the 1st floor, take the No.5 Shuttle Bus to its last stop: zhongguancun (on the 4th Ring Rd, see the above map). Walk from the stop to PKU East Gate takes about 25 minutes (about 2 km), or take a Taxi.
