Practical InformationChina Visa Information If you need a visa to enter China, please email Prof. Furong Xu to recive an official CUSTIPEN invitation letter. A China visa can be obtained by applying in person at the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC or one of the five Consulates-General in the following U.S. cities: New York, NY; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX. You can also apply your China visa using a visa service company, such as uschinavisa , or VisaRite, or a travel ageny without having to go to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General. The Travel Reimbursement Information (i) the Travel Reimbursement information sheet (download) ; The Guest House at Peking University Please make your lodging reservation at Peking University by emailing the visitor information form (download) to Prof. Furong Xu. By Taxi You can get a taxi right outside the arrival terminals. From the airport to Peking University is about 30 km. The fare should be about 20USD (less than 150 Yuan). If you take the Taxi, you may show the following tag to the taxi driver about how to get to the guest house. Please do ask for the invoice (taxi receipt). The blue route and the orange route are the two choices to reach No.9 Building.
By Subway (operate from 6 AM to 10 PM) By Shuttle Bus (operate from 7 AM to 12 PM)
Right at the exit of airport Terminals one can follow the english sign for Shuttle Bus, Shuttle Bus is at the 1st floor, take the No.5 Shuttle Bus to its last stop: zhongguancun (on the 4th Ring Rd, see the above map). Walk from the stop to PKU East Gate takes about 25 minutes (about 2 km), or take a Taxi.
